Bio
Bel Morrison is an award winning singer-songwriter, whose songs and stories have endeared her to people across Australia. Her smile and authentic presence draw audiences into stories of hope that take hearts captive, with lyrics that press beyond the surface, in a creative re-telling of the old, old story.
Bel teamed up with producer Caleb James to produce her latest album release ‘You are my destination', building on the success of her last album ‘Bird's Eye View'.
Bel graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in 2003, and soon after released her debut self-produced EP in April 2004. This EP won several awards, and began turning industry heads. Track 3 took out first place in the 2004 National Australian Songwriting Competition, and in due time her follow-up album went on to receive similar awards.
Bel's much anticipated new album 'You are my Destination' was released in December 2009 and has delivered on every promise. Whether performed with full band backing, or in an intimate solo performance, the songs from this album are connecting with audiences everywhere.
Bel regularly performs in Australia, and has also toured overseas. Over the last few years, Bel has played and shared at many different churches and conferences around Australia and New Zealand, including the Seasons Women's conference (Toowoomba Qld), Central West Christian Conference (Orange NSW), Capernwray Bible School Conferences (Cambridge New Zealand, and Mossvale NSW), as well as playing festivals such as AGMF/Easterfest, World Youth Day Sydney, and the Parachute Festival NZ.
